Zac Affleck will not appear in the forthcoming Orange County-based spinoff of 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,' according to production sources cited by TMZ. The outlet reported on November 4, 2026, that Zac did not participate in filming for Season 1 of the new reality series, which features his estranged wife, Jen Affleck.
The absence means that if the couple's marital difficulties are addressed during the spinoff, the narrative will be presented solely from Jen's perspective. According to TMZ, Zac was not involved in production at all.
Jen filed for divorce from Zac on Tuesday in Utah, bringing an end to a marriage that lasted more than seven years. Alongside her divorce petition, Jen submitted a proposed parenting plan, though the specifics of that plan have not been made public. The former couple shares three children, and Jen is currently pregnant with their fourth.
The pair's relationship struggles have been documented previously on 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,' the Hulu reality series where their marital issues became a central storyline. The new spinoff, set in Orange County, will continue to feature Jen but without Zac's participation.
For local viewers who have followed the couple's story on the Hulu series, the spinoff will offer only Jen's account of the events leading to the divorce. The divorce filing occurred on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, in Utah, according to TMZ.
