Karissa Shannon, the 37-year-old former Playboy Playmate and Girls Next Door alum, is preparing for a new chapter. She told Page Six on Thursday, November 5, that she is engaged and pregnant with a boy, and she has a clear vision for how she wants to raise him.

Shannon said she intends to name her son Genesis and to draw on her own past to teach him how to behave. "I want him to be opposite of whatever Hef was portraying," she told Page Six. "I want him to be a gentleman, and I want him to have manners, and I want him to lead with his heart."

The reference is to Hugh Hefner, the Playboy founder who died in 2017 at age 91. Shannon has spoken publicly about her time in his orbit, and her comments about parenting arrive as she looks ahead rather than back.

Shannon is keeping her fiancé's identity private but described him as a "simple, blue-collar guy" from Windsor, Ontario. She praised him for supporting her despite her history. "He's sweet, and he loves me deeply and unconditionally," she told Page Six. "He's quick to defend me in comments [on social media] and supports my career and all my projects. He's proud of who I am."

The engagement and pregnancy news follows Shannon's recent public remarks about her experiences with Hefner. According to Celebrity News: Latest Celeb News & Pictures - Us Weekly, Hefner's widow, Crystal Harris, 40, previously accused her late husband of "starting to try and shove" Kristina and Karissa's heads "onto each other's vaginas to get them to engage with each other sexually," as reported by Celebrity News: Latest Celeb News & Pictures - Us Weekly.

Shannon's focus now is on her son and on building a family life that reflects the values she wants to instill. Her comments suggest a deliberate effort to break from the past and to define her next chapter on her own terms.
