The family of Turkish fashion influencer Ayşegül Eraslan has come forward with allegations that she was being blackmailed and threatened before her death, according to statements from their legal representative.

Hasan Yilmaz, the attorney representing Eraslan's family, claims the family possesses evidence supporting allegations that the 27-year-old content creator was being extorted over sexually explicit photographs. According to local outlet Sözcü, Yilmaz has reportedly submitted this evidence to authorities for investigation.

Eraslan was discovered dead inside her residence in Turkey this past March, just days after returning from a trip to Egypt. The circumstances surrounding her death have raised questions among investigators and her family alike.

According to police reports, actor Sunay Kurtuluș visited Eraslan's home approximately one hour before her death was discovered. Authorities indicated that Kurtuluș entered and exited the residence within a matter of minutes. His legal team has confirmed that he was questioned by law enforcement and has stated that he "was not at the scene of the incident at the time it occurred."

Reports have emerged suggesting that Eraslan may have been killed by a knife, though official details regarding the cause of death have not been fully disclosed by authorities. The investigation into her death remains ongoing as police examine the blackmail allegations and other potential leads.

The case highlights growing concerns about the vulnerability of social media personalities to harassment, extortion, and threats. As content creators build substantial online followings, they can become targets for malicious actors seeking to exploit private information for financial gain or other purposes.

Turkish authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Eraslan's death as her family seeks answers and justice. The evidence provided by the family's attorney may prove crucial in determining whether the alleged blackmail played a role in the tragic outcome.
