President Donald Trump generated online confusion Saturday when he shared a photograph on Truth Social praising a mystery woman as his daughter, despite the individual not appearing to be either Ivanka Trump or Tiffany Trump.
The 80-year-old president posted the image on Saturday, June 20, writing, "Great daughter. My Honor!!!" before signing off with his customary "President DJT." The photograph depicted a woman dressed in a head-to-toe black ensemble, holding a phone to her ear while seated on a red couch and smiling at the camera.
According to multiple outlets, the photograph seemingly depicted Margo Catsimatidis, the 74-year-old wife of billionaire businessman John Catsimatidis. Both Margo and John Catsimatidis are long-time Trump donors, according to reporting by Forbes.
The cryptic post immediately sparked speculation across social media platforms, with users attempting to identify the woman and decipher the president's intention. Mikey Smith, a journalist from the United Kingdom's Mirror, claimed to have solved the mystery.
"I'm pretty sure the woman is Margo Catsimatidis, and I think the picture was taken at Camp David (where Trump is this weekend), probably during the Clinton Administration," Smith wrote via X on Sunday.
Despite the online speculation regarding both the post's purpose and the woman's identity, President Trump offered no further clarification. Instead, he shared an unrelated Father's Day message via Truth Social on Sunday, June 21. "Happy Father's Day! Our Country is doing GREAT," he wrote. "We are WINNING on all fronts, WINNING LIKE NEVER BEFORE. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!"
The president was not the only member of his family to publicly acknowledge Father's Day on social media. Bettina Trump, who married the president's son Donald Trump Jr. in May, shared content about her new husband on Sunday, according to Us Weekly.
Donald Trump Jr., 48, is the president's eldest son from his marriage to ex-wife Ivana Trump. He shares five children with his ex-wife Vanessa Trump: Kai, 19, Donald Trump III, 17, Tristan, 14, Spencer, 13, and Chloe, 12. The president is also father to Eric, 44, whom he shares with Ivana Trump, and Barron, 20, whom he shares with current wife Melania Trump.
The Saturday social media post remains unexplained, leaving the nature of the relationship between President Trump and the woman in the photograph unclear. The president has not responded to requests for clarification regarding the post's meaning or the woman's identity.
