Joseph Duggar, a former reality television personality, has had minimal contact with the outside world since his arrest on child molestation charges earlier this month. Records from Washington County Correctional Facility indicate that only his attorney has visited the 31-year-old since he was taken into custody on March 18.

Despite having no family visitors, Duggar has reportedly maintained telephone communication with his wife, Kendra Duggar, through multiple calls over the past week. He also attempted to reach a management consultant on March 19, though that call went unanswered.

The charges stem from allegations involving a nine-year-old girl during a Florida vacation. Bay City police detailed the accusations in a statement released on Thursday, describing a pattern of inappropriate behavior. According to the police statement, the alleged victim, now 14 years old, reported that Duggar repeatedly requested she sit on his lap during the vacation.

"As the vacation continued, he also asked her to sit next to him on a couch and covered them with a blanket," the Bay City police statement read. "During this time, Duggar manipulated the victim's underwear and grazed her genitals. Duggar would also continue to rub his hands on her thighs."

The alleged victim stated in her police report that Duggar "eventually apologized for his actions and the incidents stopped after the apology."

Duggar currently faces two counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor and remains incarcerated without bond at the Washington County facility.

The case has expanded to include Duggar's wife, Kendra Duggar, 27, who was arrested on Friday, March 20. She was released the same day after posting a bond of $1,470. Both Joseph and Kendra Duggar now face additional charges of endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of second-degree false imprisonment.

A spokesperson for the Duggar family addressed Kendra's arrest, stating that her charge "is a misdemeanor charge totally unrelated to the Florida case."

Joseph Duggar gained public recognition as one of 19 children born to Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar. The family's life was documented on the TLC series "19 Kids and Counting" and its spin-off "Counting On." Joseph met his wife Kendra at church, and the couple married in September 2017 after a three-month engagement. They have four children together: sons Garrett and Justus, and daughters Addison and Brooklyn.

This marks the second time a Duggar child has faced serious criminal charges in recent years. Joseph's older brother, Josh Duggar, was sentenced to 12 years in federal prison in May 2022 for possession of child pornography.

The legal proceedings continue as Joseph Duggar remains in custody at Washington County Correctional Facility. The case represents a significant development for a family that once maintained a prominent public profile through their reality television presence.
