Reality television personalities Ethan Plath and Olivia Plath have finalized their divorce nearly three years after their initial separation, according to court documents filed in Minnesota's First District Court in February.

The former couple, both 27 years old, signed a financial agreement to dissolve their marriage that includes mutual waivers of spousal support. The settlement reflects their shared recognition that neither party possesses the financial means to provide maintenance to the other after covering essential living expenses.

According to the divorce decree, both parties acknowledged that the waiver of maintenance represents a fair and equitable arrangement supported by adequate consideration. The document states that each party recognizes the mutual nature of these waivers as sufficient grounds for the agreement.

Asset Division and Financial Arrangements

The settlement outlines a clear division of assets accumulated during the marriage. Ethan Plath retains ownership of bank and investment accounts established in his name, along with a collection of vintage automobiles. His classic car collection includes a 1976 Chrysler New Yorker valued at three thousand dollars, a 1978 Chrysler New Yorker valued at five thousand dollars, and a 1937 Plymouth valued at eight thousand dollars.

Olivia Plath receives ownership of her business, Sunshine Media, as well as all investment and bank accounts registered under her name. She also retains a 2016 Subaru Outback, which did not receive a monetary valuation in the divorce proceedings.

Court filings reveal that Ethan Plath lists his primary employment as work with the TLC network, estimating his monthly income at approximately twenty-five hundred dollars. Olivia Plath operates Sunshine Media and works as a group travel host in Virginia, with income that fluctuates on a monthly basis.

The agreement stipulates that each party assumes responsibility for debts incurred under their respective names and agrees to hold their former spouse harmless from any payment obligations related to those debts. Additionally, Olivia Plath elected to retain her married surname rather than reverting to her maiden name, Meggs.

Timeline of Separation

The couple filed a joint divorce petition in February 2024, citing an irretrievable breakdown as the cause for dissolution of their marriage. The Plaths married in Whigham, Georgia, in October 2018 when both were 20 years old. They did not have children during their marriage.

Last October, Olivia Plath publicly disclosed that she had contemplated divorce just one year into the marriage, stating she felt overwhelmed by family conflicts. She recalled that her father advised against pursuing divorce at that time, expressing concerns about religious and personal consequences. This revelation provided insight into the long-standing challenges that ultimately led to the marriage's dissolution.

The finalization of the divorce brings legal closure to a relationship that has been documented extensively through their reality television appearances. The settlement demonstrates a relatively straightforward division of assets and a mutual agreement to move forward independently without ongoing financial obligations to one another.
