The artist, whose legal name is Daniel Hernandez, completed a three-month sentence stemming from a supervised release violation.
The custom chain, created in collaboration with Miami-based jeweler Vobara, bears the title "The Apex Redemption; The Return of 6ix9ine." Representatives from the jewelry company delivered the piece directly to the rapper as he exited the facility shortly before 5:00 AM Eastern Time on Friday.
The elaborate necklace features multiple pendants designed to mirror tattoos the performer displayed prior to his incarceration. Floral elements incorporate 165 carats of round, emerald, and marquise-cut diamonds, complemented by colored sapphire and black diamonds. A lion pendant accounts for an additional 186 carats, utilizing round, emerald, baguette, and fancy-cut diamonds. The complete piece weighs more than four pounds.
According to Vobara representatives, the collaboration proved "incredibly dynamic," with the artist described as "full of big creative ideas." Sources indicated the rapper prioritized "creating a moment" over the monetary value of the jewelry itself.
Federal prison regulations permitted the early release because the scheduled Saturday release date coincided with a holiday weekend. Bureau of Prisons guidelines allow federal inmates whose release falls on weekends or legal holidays to depart on the preceding weekday.
The recent incarceration resulted from violations of supervised release conditions established during a previous federal case. Authorities discovered cocaine and MDMA in the rapper's residence last year, prompting the three-month sentence.
The supervised release stemmed from a 2019 federal case in which Tekashi 6ix9ine pleaded guilty to nine charges, including racketeering, narcotics conspiracy, and firearms offenses related to his association with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods street gang. His cooperation with federal prosecutors, which included testimony against former associates, resulted in a reduced two-year sentence rather than the decades he potentially faced.
