A Fulton County judge issued a temporary protective order on Wednesday requiring radio personality Big Tigger to maintain a distance of 200 yards from his wife and children, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.
The order was granted to Alicia Brown, the wife of the former "Rap City" host whose legal name is Darian Morgan. In her petition to the court, Brown detailed allegations of a violent May altercation in which she claims Morgan slammed her head into a door, resulting in injuries that required stitches.
According to the court filing, Brown further alleges that Morgan pressured her to deny the incident occurred and threatened that he would ensure she "loses everything" if she spoke publicly about the matter. She also claims he subsequently revoked her access to the home's security cameras and gate controls.
The protective order grants Brown temporary custody of the couple's minor children and exclusive use of the family residence. Morgan is prohibited from any contact with Brown or the children and must surrender access to the home's Ring cameras and remote gate controls.
A hearing on the protective order is scheduled for July 13.
The protective order follows Morgan's arrest on June 20 on charges of aggravated assault and child cruelty. He was released after posting surety bonds totaling $10,000, TMZ reported.
Morgan has denied the allegations and stated his intention to contest the charges. "For the past 30+ years, I have built my life around relationships and community. Those who know me know the man, father, husband, and friend I have been throughout my life," Morgan told TMZ.
The case represents a significant legal challenge for the veteran radio personality, who built his career in Atlanta's entertainment industry. The protective order remains in effect pending the July hearing, which will determine whether longer-term measures are warranted.
