Nicki Minaj Criticizes Democrats Over Pop Culture

Nicki Minaj has sharply criticized the Democratic Party, arguing that it has become overly entangled with pop culture and that its leaders behave in a manner she described as "petty and childish." The rapper made the remarks in a teaser clip released ahead of her interview with Lara Trump on Fox News, which is scheduled to air on Saturday night.

In the preview, Minaj told the host of "My View With Lara Trump" that her disenchantment with the party stems from its approach to political relationships. "I think the Democrats have gotten way too caught up in pop culture, for lack of a better term," she said, according to TMZ. She added that the party has "allowed their relationships with artists to cause them to act like children and to be so petty and childish."

The comments are the latest in a series of public statements in which Minaj has signaled right-leaning political preferences. Last week, she was asked by Laura Ingraham what she would say to those critical of her support for President Trump. Her response, as reported by TMZ, was blunt: "Absolutely nothing."

The interview with Lara Trump is set to air on Fox News on Saturday night, September 26, 2026. The teaser clip was published earlier that day, at 10:08 a.m. PDT, according to TMZ.

Minaj's remarks add to an ongoing national conversation about the intersection of entertainment and politics. Her criticism of Democrats for being "too caught up in pop culture" comes as celebrities increasingly weigh in on political matters, a dynamic that has drawn both praise and scrutiny across the political spectrum.
