Ms. Pat Blasts Judge Judy Over 'Leave America' Remark

Comedian and television personality Ms. Pat sharply criticized fellow TV judge Judge Judy Sheindlin on Monday, September 28, 2026, over Sheindlin's recent suggestion that Americans dissatisfied with the country should leave it. Ms. Pat, speaking in New York City, said the remark reflects a wealthy, white perspective that ignores the realities faced by minorities and other struggling Americans.

According to TMZ.com, Ms. Pat did not hold back when asked about Sheindlin's comment, saying the longtime judge is "out of her mind" and that it is easy for her to take such a stance because she is wealthy and white. Ms. Pat argued that the path is not so simple for other people, particularly minorities.

Sheindlin's original remark, which circulated widely after being shared by Fox News on social media, was blunt: "If you don't like this country, go somewhere else." In the same clip, she called America "the greatest country in the world" and "the most successful country in the world," adding, "Don't come to the greatest country in the world, the most successful country in the world and…"

Ms. Pat told TMZ.com that Sheindlin is "spewing some epic BS" and sounds out of touch with the "struggle of real people." She also said Sheindlin is saying "stupid s***" because the issues affecting many Americans do not personally impact her, and she warned what Sheindlin will do when those issues eventually hit home — a reaction Ms. Pat described as anything but polite.

The exchange highlights a growing divide in how public figures discuss patriotism and dissent. Ms. Pat's comments underscore the argument that calls to leave the country carry different weight depending on a person's resources and background, a point she tied directly to Sheindlin's wealth and race.
