Kim Kardashian publicly displayed affection for her boyfriend, Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton, through a collection of intimate photographs shared on Instagram Sunday, August 9.
The 45-year-old reality television personality posted multiple images showing the couple in close embrace. Several frames captured Kardashian holding Hamilton's arm and waist, while other photographs depicted the 41-year-old athlete with his arms around her. One photograph, taken by Hamilton himself, showed the pair seated together in a vehicle, both looking toward the camera.
The social media post arrived two days after Hamilton shared his own photographs with Kardashian on his Instagram account. Those images included a shot of the couple walking in Calabasas, California, an area neighboring Kardashian's Hidden Hills residence. Additional photographs showed Kardashian making a peace sign while blowing a kiss at the camera and another of her interacting with a dog indoors.
Hamilton is currently on a summer break from the Formula 1 World Championship season.
Family members and celebrity acquaintances responded enthusiastically to Kardashian's post. Her younger sister Khloe Kardashian, 42, commented with seven red heart emojis, while La La Anthony, described as one of Kardashian's close friends, added five heart-eyed emojis. Kylie Jenner, 28, and Hailey Bieber both liked the post.
The relationship between Kardashian and Hamilton transitioned from friendship to romance in February, according to Celebrity News: Latest Celeb News & Pictures - Us Weekly. Following public sightings together at events including Super Bowl LX, sources indicated Hamilton had begun spending time with Kardashian's children. She shares daughter North, 13, son Saint, 10, daughter Chicago, 8, and son Psalm, 7, with ex-husband Kanye West.
"Lewis loves kids, so it's been fun for him," a source told Celebrity News: Latest Celeb News & Pictures - Us Weekly in February. "The kids think Lewis is really cool, especially Chicago and Saint, who are completely fascinated by the fact that he drives race cars for a living."
During a July press conference preceding the British Grand Prix, Hamilton acknowledged his relationship as a source of recent happiness. "Of course, of course it's Kim," he said when asked by a fan about what was contributing to his positive demeanor.
The two first connected in 2014 when they posed together at the GQ Men of the Year event. At that time, Kardashian was married to West, 49, and Hamilton was in a relationship with Nicole Scherzinger.
