A newly released police report is providing the first detailed account of the scene where Ken Urker was found dead at his Louisiana home, according to Us Weekly. Investigators documented drug paraphernalia in the bathroom, along with a syringe, a handgun and two shot glasses resting on a nightstand next to his bed. A cause of death has not been determined, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard, Urker's ex-fiancée, addressed his death publicly on what would have been his 34th birthday. In remarks to People, she described herself as being "in disbelief" and said she has "screamed until my throat burns." Blanchard characterized Urker as "an amazing father" and her "soulmate," and stated that he had been the target of "relentless cyberbullying" in the time before his death.
Separately, attorneys for death row inmate Christa Pike say she may have sustained brain damage during a September 30 execution that stretched beyond an hour, as officials encountered difficulty delivering two lethal injections. Pike is listed in critical condition at a hospital, where her legal team says she is undergoing life-saving treatment.
