Kai Cenat Sends Cease-and-Desist to Ex-Friend Reggie Travers

Streamer Kai Cenat has taken legal action against his former friend and streaming partner Reggie Travers, sending a cease-and-desist letter over what his legal team describes as false and misleading statements made in online videos. The letter, dated October 2, was obtained by TMZ.com, which reported the development on Friday, October 23, 2026.

According to the letter, Travers has repeatedly made claims about Cenat without providing evidence. Cenat's legal team stated, "We want to be unequivocal: the suggestion that Mr. Cenat has ever engaged in any form of pedophilia, or exchanged sex for platforming any person, is categorically false," in the letter obtained by TMZ.com.

The cease-and-desist further alleges that Travers threatened harm to Cenat and others associated with him. "Your conduct has caused employees to fear for their safety and has disrupted business," the letter stated, according to TMZ.com. Cenat's lawyer characterized Travers's claims as nonsense and asserted they have caused harm to Cenat. The letter demands that Travers remove all videos containing the allegedly false statements.

The dispute follows earlier allegations by Travers that Cenat had groomed a 17-year-old streamer named Rakai, who, along with Travers, was a member of the Clover Boys. Rakai has denied the claims, and Cenat had previously alluded to potential legal action. On Friday, Travers displayed what appeared to be court documents filed against him by Cenat, which seemed to be a temporary restraining order petition. Travers indicated he is prepared to fight the case in court.

TMZ.com reported that attempts to reach Cenat for comment were unsuccessful. The outlet noted that it had reached out to Kai, but no response had been received at the time of publication.

The public feud between the two former collaborators has drawn significant attention in the streaming community, raising questions about online conduct and the legal boundaries of public accusations. The cease-and-desist represents an escalation in the dispute, which may now proceed to court if Travers does not comply with the demands.
