The daughter of country music star Jelly Roll has publicly addressed her father's recent divorce filing, urging the public to respect her family's privacy during this difficult time.
Bailee Ann DeFord, 18, took to TikTok on Tuesday, June 16, to comment on the news of her father's split from Bunnie Xo. In a pointed message posted over a photo of herself in bed, she expressed frustration with the intense public scrutiny surrounding the private family matter.
"I am disgusted at how invested everyone is in a very clearly private family matter. It's fkn crazy," DeFord wrote. "Go on somewhere yall. Worry 'bout your house — not mine. I'm not speaking on it — yet."
The statement comes one day after news broke that Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, had filed for divorce from Bunnie Xo in a Tennessee court. The 41-year-old musician submitted the petition on May 18, listing May 9 as the date of separation and citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the dissolution of the marriage.
According to court documents, Jelly Roll stated that the "parties are unable to live together successfully as husband and wife." The filing outlined a proposed equitable division of assets and shared responsibility for debts accumulated during the marriage.
Jelly Roll shares primary custody of Bailee Ann with his ex Felicia Beckwith. He also holds primary custody of his daughter with Bunnie Xo, 46, and is father to son Noah Buddy, 9, with ex Melisa Ann Cowell.
The divorce filing marks the end of nearly ten years of marriage for the couple, who wed in Las Vegas in August 2016. Their relationship has been marked by both public displays of affection and acknowledged challenges, including past infidelity that the couple had worked to overcome.
Earlier this year, Bunnie Xo, whose real name is Alisa Andrea Carter, had discussed the couple's plans to expand their family through in vitro fertilization. "It's been rough. I know that God has a plan and he's going to make it work. I really do. I have no doubt in my mind," she told People in January, describing the IVF process as "one of the hardest things I've ever had to go through." The "Dumb Blonde" podcast host had expressed hopes of welcoming twins.
Bunnie appeared to subtly acknowledge the situation on May 20, two days after the divorce documents were filed, sharing a cryptic TikTok video. "Women's intuition when that s*** don't add up. Mmmmhmmm #bunniexo," she wrote over footage of herself looking around skeptically.
The couple had previously been open about navigating difficult periods in their relationship. During an October 2025 episode of the "Human School" podcast, Jelly Roll acknowledged that he had been unfaithful to Bunnie after their marriage. In February, Bunnie spoke about the healing process, describing how the betrayal ultimately strengthened their bond and shaped their relationship.
Neither Jelly Roll nor Bunnie Xo has issued an official public statement regarding the divorce proceedings. As Bailee Ann's message suggests, the family appears to be requesting space and privacy as they navigate this transition. Her indication that she is "not speaking on it — yet" leaves open the possibility of a more detailed statement in the future.
