Heather Locklear has entered a new chapter in her personal life, with confirmation emerging Friday, April 10, that the actress is dating fellow 1980s television star Lorenzo Lamas. The relationship, which has been developing quietly for several months, marks a significant development for both actors following their respective romantic histories.

Lamas, 68, confirmed through his representative that he and Locklear, 64, are "seeing each other." The disclosure comes after photographs surfaced showing the pair together at Barry's Steakhouse inside the Circa Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on New Year's Eve. The images, which captured the couple meeting chef Barry Dakake, showed Locklear with her arm around the chef as he posed between her and Lamas in the kitchen. Additional photographs depicted the Dynasty alum sampling a dessert fresh from the oven while Lamas stood beside her.

The relationship represents a new beginning for Locklear, who became single nearly one year ago following her split from fiancé Chris Heisser. The former Melrose Place actress and Heisser, 64, had been engaged since June 2020 before ending their on-again, off-again relationship in early 2025. Sources indicated at the time that Locklear was "focusing on herself" and "doing really well" while expressing readiness to date again.

As the romance between Locklear and Lamas progresses, their adult children are reportedly planning to spend time together this weekend to become better acquainted as their parents' relationship develops. This blending of families reflects the serious nature of the connection between the two actors, both of whom have extensive romantic histories.

Locklear's previous marriages include a seven-year union with Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee from 1986 to 1993, followed by her marriage to Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora in 1994. Locklear and Sambora, 66, welcomed daughter Ava in 1997 before divorcing in 2007. The actress was also briefly engaged to Melrose Place costar Jack Wagner in 2011.

Lamas brings an equally complex romantic history to the relationship, having been married six times. The Falcon Crest star's first marriage to Victoria Hilbert lasted from 1981 to 1982. His second wife, Michele Smith, with whom he shares son A.J. and daughter Shayne, was married to him from 1983 to 1985. Smith passed away in January 2018 at the age of 61.

The Love in the Clouds star's subsequent marriages included unions with Kathleen Kinmont from 1989 to 1993, with whom he shares daughters Alexandra, Victoria, and Isabella. His marriage to Shauna Sand lasted from 1996 to 2002, while his union with Shawna Craig spanned from 2011 to 2018. Most recently, Lamas was married to Kenna Nicole Scott from 2023 to 2025. The Bold and the Beautiful alum is also father to daughter Patton Lee from a previous relationship with Daphne Ashbrook.

The confirmation of this relationship between two prominent figures from 1980s television represents a notable development in Hollywood's social landscape. Both actors achieved significant fame during that era, with Locklear becoming a household name through her roles in Dynasty and Melrose Place, while Lamas gained recognition for his work on Falcon Crest and other productions. Their shared experiences navigating fame and personal challenges may provide common ground as they explore this new relationship.
