Court documents filed following the death of NHL star Claude Lemieux reveal that the hockey player designated his wife to oversee the administration of his estate prior to his passing in May.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Claude Lemieux specified in his will that he wanted his wife, Deborah Lemieux, appointed as the administrator of his estate. The legal papers indicate that all assets will be distributed pursuant to the terms of a separate trust.

The beneficiaries named in the estate documents include Deborah Lemieux, the couple's son Brendan, their daughter Claudia, grandson Luc, and granddaughter Sutton. The list of beneficiaries in Deborah's petition does not explicitly mention Claude's two sons from his first marriage, Michael and Christopher.

Claude Lemieux died by suicide in May at 60 years old, according to TMZ. His son discovered his body at a warehouse owned by the family, though it remains unclear which son made the discovery. Christopher, Claudia, and Brendan all shared touching tributes to their father online following his death.

The filing of estate documents represents a standard legal procedure following the death of an individual, ensuring that assets are distributed according to the deceased's wishes and that family members receive their designated inheritances.
