The murder trial of "American Idol" alum Caleb Flynn is now in its sixth day. Flynn stands accused of killing his wife, Ashley Flynn, and the proceedings are being streamed live.

The case has been marked by dramatic developments, including testimony from Flynn's mistress, Alleigha Botner. Botner read aloud from dark text messages exchanged between her and Flynn. In one message, Botner wrote that she wanted to kill Ashley Flynn, to which Flynn replied, "That makes two of us."

According to TMZ.com, the night before Ashley Flynn's alleged murder, Caleb Flynn texted Botner, "Actions will come tomorrow, February 16, a day I'll never forget."

In a unique courtroom moment, two A.I.-generated songs that Flynn wrote for his mistress were played. Flynn wrote the lyrics, while A.I. composed the music and provided the vocals. Many in the gallery struggled to maintain a straight face during the playback.

Prosecutors allege that Caleb Flynn shot his wife twice in the back of the head before staging the crime scene to appear as a burglary. Flynn's legal team contends that the prosecution lacks concrete evidence linking him to the slaying.
