Actress Aubrey Plaza has entered motherhood, welcoming a daughter with partner Christopher Abbott during the final week of July, according to sources with direct knowledge who spoke to TMZ.com.
The new mother was photographed on Sunday in New York City cradling her infant daughter, who was bundled in a blanket and beanie. Plaza attended a performance of "Death of a Salesman," which marked Abbott's closing night in the production.
Sporting a high ponytail and black sunglasses, Plaza appeared relaxed as she held the newborn close. The arrival comes several months earlier than initially anticipated, as pregnancy reports that emerged in April had suggested a fall delivery date.
The "White Lotus" star made no attempt to conceal her pregnancy in recent months, appearing publicly with her visible baby bump as she prepared for first-time motherhood.
This represents the first child for both Plaza and Abbott. Plaza was previously married to screenwriter and director Jeff Baena, though the couple did not have children before their separation and his subsequent death.
Plaza and Abbott's professional collaboration predates their personal relationship. The pair worked together on the 2020 film "Black Bear" and shared the stage in the off-Broadway production "Danny and the Deep Blue Sea."
The couple has maintained a relatively private relationship, with limited public appearances together prior to the pregnancy announcement earlier this year.
