A Tontitown couple is facing serious criminal charges following arrests this week, according to authorities in Washington County.

Kendra Duggar, 27, was arrested and booked on Friday, March 20, the Washington County Sheriff's Office confirmed. She was subsequently released after posting bond, which had been set at $1,470.

The arrest follows charges filed against both Kendra Duggar and her husband, Joseph Duggar, 31. According to a press release issued Friday by the Tontitown Police Department, the couple faces four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree and four counts of second-degree false imprisonment.

Joseph Duggar was arrested one day earlier, on Thursday, March 19, on separate charges including lewd and lascivious behavior involving molestation of a victim less than 12 years old and lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person 18 years or older.

Authorities have declined to release additional details, stating that the investigation remains active and ongoing. The Tontitown Police Department has not provided information regarding the circumstances surrounding the alleged offenses or the relationship between the defendants and the alleged victims.

Under Arkansas law, endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree is classified as a Class A misdemeanor, while second-degree false imprisonment is also a Class A misdemeanor. The charges involving lewd and lascivious behavior carry significantly more severe penalties as felony offenses.

The investigation continues, and additional information is expected to be released as the case progresses through the judicial system.
