All Elite Wrestling announced Sunday night that PAC, the British high-flyer whose real name was Benjamin Satterley, has died at the age of 40. The news arrived less than 24 hours after he had competed at the company's All Out pay-per-view in Chicago.

In a statement, AEW paid tribute to Satterley, praising his inventive aerial style and his exceptional ability inside the ring. The promotion did not disclose a cause of death or provide any additional information about the circumstances of his passing.

Satterley's final match took place Saturday at All Out, where he faced Andrade El Idolo with the AEW National Championship on the line. He was defeated in that bout and offered Andrade a handshake once it concluded. His night was not finished there, however: he appeared again during the evening's main event, inserting himself into the AEW World Championship contest pitting his fellow Death Riders member Jon Moxley against Will Ospreay.

A native of Newcastle, England, Satterley launched his professional wrestling career in 2004. He signed with AEW in 2019 and went on to become the promotion's first-ever AEW All-Atlantic Champion, along with a two-time holder of the AEW World Trios Championship.

His career prior to joining AEW included a notable run in WWE under the ring name Neville. During that period he captured the NXT Championship and twice held the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

The announcement, reported by TMZ.com, prompted an outpouring of reaction from the wrestling community, with fans and peers mourning a performer known for redefining what a competitor of his size could accomplish in the ring.
