President Donald Trump offered his complete endorsement to professional boxer and social media personality Jake Paul during a joint appearance at a Kentucky packaging facility on Wednesday, March 11, predicting the influencer will pursue political office in the near future.

Speaking alongside Paul at Verst Logistics in Hebron, Kentucky, the 79-year-old president told the assembled crowd he anticipates Paul will seek elected office. 'I just want to say: I'm going to make a prediction that [Jake], in the not-too-distant future, will be running for political office,' Trump stated. 'You have my complete and total endorsement, OK? That's what we want, he's an incredible guy.'

The endorsement represents a significant political moment for the 29-year-old Paul, whose career has transitioned from social media content creation to professional boxing, where he currently holds a 12-2-0 record. Trump characterized Paul as both 'courageous' and 'talented,' adding that 'he's a hell of a fighter too.'

During the event, Trump also referenced his former 2024 presidential election opponent Kamala Harris, stating he did not believe Paul had voted for her. 'I didn't ask Jake who he voted for but I don't think it was Kamala,' Trump claimed. 'I think your whole reputation would be shot. That would be the end of your whole career, Jake.'

Paul reciprocated the support during the rally, telling attendees that Trump had taught him courage. 'What Mr. Trump has taught me is courage. We never back down from a fight, even if they're much bigger than you,' Paul stated. 'And I feel all the local Kentuckians feel the same.' He concluded his remarks by saying, 'God's got us, Trump's got us, god bless. Love you, Kentucky.'

The relationship between Trump and Paul extends back to the 2024 presidential campaign, when Paul publicly endorsed the then-candidate. In an October 2024 video, Paul stated that a vote for Trump might 'literally save America.' He explained his position by saying he was not concerned with Trump's 'character flaws' but rather focused on presidential performance and its impact on the nation.

Paul has increasingly engaged with political topics in recent years, though not without controversy. In February, he drew criticism for comments about Super Bowl LX headliner Bad Bunny, calling the Puerto Rican artist 'a fake American citizen' who 'publicly hates America.' The remarks sparked backlash, including from his own brother Logan Paul, who publicly disagreed with the characterization.

Jake Paul subsequently clarified his position in a February 9 tweet, stating he was not questioning anyone's citizenship based on their Puerto Rican heritage. 'I live in Puerto Rico, and I love Puerto Rico,' Paul wrote. 'I have used my platform to support Puerto Rico time and time again and will always do so.' He explained that his criticism was directed at what he perceived as disrespect toward America from individuals who benefit from the country's platform.

The Wednesday event in Hebron marks the latest development in Paul's evolving public profile, which has expanded from digital entertainment to professional athletics and now potentially into the political arena. Whether Paul will act on Trump's prediction remains to be seen, though the president's endorsement provides significant political capital should the boxer choose to pursue elected office.
