A routine celebrity greeting video has sparked controversy after reality television personality Jordan Ngatikaura used the platform to launch allegations against his estranged wife, transforming what should have been a lighthearted wedding message into an uncomfortable public spectacle.

The 31-year-old star of 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' recorded a Cameo video for a fan getting married in June, but quickly derailed the celebratory message to discuss his ongoing divorce from Jessi Draper.

"I understand that you are getting married. [Your friends] Amy and Meredith love you so, so, very much and they wanted me to just wish you well," Jordan began in the clip, which has since circulated widely on social media. "I know that you and Jonas are getting married in June and I know you guys have been together for five years."

The video took an unexpected turn when Jordan acknowledged his questionable credentials as a marriage advisor. "I'm going through a divorce, and as you've probably seen online, my wife's acting like a complete psycho [and] manic person," he claimed. "It's really sad to see her that way and for it to unfold that way. She kiss[ed] her best friend's ex-husband and talk[ed] to her affair partner. But hey, this isn't about me right now."

After briefly returning to wedding well-wishes and complimenting the fan's musical talents, Jordan pivoted once more to discuss the reality show that brought him into the public eye. He suggested that 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' employs scripted elements and editing techniques designed to portray male cast members unfavorably.

"I understand that you're a big fan of the show. So I hate to burst your bubble, [but] the show is a little bit … a lot of it is scripted and very edited to make the men look like dumbasses," he stated. "We are dumb, but we're just not as dumb as the show makes us look and sound."

Jordan concluded the video with marriage advice that appeared to contain veiled criticism of his estranged wife. "My advice to you is to always turn toward your partner and treat them like they're the most important thing in the world because otherwise — if you don't — you'll end up getting divorced like I do if you let your partner only care about fame," he said.

The 34-year-old Jessi Draper responded to the video with humor, commenting "I hope you can get your money back" and adding "Team manic for life!!" in reference to Jordan's characterization of her behavior.

Fellow cast member Mayci Neeley expressed disbelief at the awkward recording, writing "Is this AI?! No way this is real 😂." Chase McWhorter, who recently made headlines for kissing Jessi Draper following his own marriage dissolution with her friend Miranda McWhorter, commented "Brutal watch, per usual."

The couple, who share two children—Jagger, 5, and Jovi, 2—experienced significant marital difficulties documented on the reality series before Jordan filed for divorce in March. He also filed for a restraining order against Jessi Draper, though the request was not granted by the court.

In a statement provided at the time of the filing, Jordan emphasized his commitment to his children. "This has not been an easy decision and it comes with a heavy heart," he stated. "I'm grateful for the shared memories and the lessons. While our paths are now moving in different directions, my priority remains my children and ensuring they feel loved, supported, and protected through this transition."

The statement continued with a request for privacy: "I am committed to handling this next chapter with kindness and respect. I kindly ask for privacy and understanding as we navigate this as a family."

Since the separation, Jessi Draper has documented her transition to a new residence on social media and recently indicated a casual relationship with Marciano Brunette, with whom she previously had an emotional affair during her marriage to Jordan.

The incident highlights the increasingly blurred boundaries between public and private life for reality television personalities, particularly when personal grievances are aired through commercial platforms intended for fan engagement. The Cameo video, which was purchased by friends of the bride-to-be as a wedding gift, has instead become another chapter in the public dissolution of the Ngatikaura marriage.
