Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges has secured a temporary restraining order against his former partner, Mychelle Johnson, following serious allegations of harassment and cyberstalking that allegedly culminated in an incident at the Spectrum Center during a recent game.
According to court documents filed in North Carolina, a judge approved Bridges' petition on Thursday, May 7, 2026, mandating that Johnson remain at least 500 yards away from the NBA player, his residence, and all Charlotte Hornets facilities. The order also prohibits Johnson from harassing Bridges or his current girlfriend, Shara, and explicitly forbids any cyberstalking activities.
The restraining order follows a series of disturbing allegations detailed in Bridges' court filings. The professional basketball player claims Johnson abandoned their four children with a nanny before driving to the Spectrum Center while intoxicated. According to the petition, Johnson rented a hotel room nearby, positioned an accomplice in the lobby, and allegedly crouched behind Bridges' parked vehicle in the facility's garage to tamper with its tires while he was on the court playing for the Charlotte Hornets.
Bridges emphasized the potential danger to his family, stating that his girlfriend, Shara, and his children with Shara were inside the center at the time. The court documents assert that Johnson was aware the children had traveled in the vehicle she allegedly tampered with and demonstrated a reckless disregard for their safety.
The allegations extend beyond the physical incident at the arena. Bridges claims Johnson launched a coordinated cyberattack against him and his legal counsel in the days following the Spectrum Center incident. According to the petition, Johnson created a fake phone number to send Bridges a threatening text message containing his home address in an apparent attempt to intimidate him.
In another alleged scheme, Johnson reportedly contacted Bridges' attorney while impersonating another woman who claimed to be pregnant by the NBA star. The deception was convincing enough that Bridges' team arranged for a paternity test before discovering the communication was fraudulent.
In his petition, Bridges characterized Johnson's behavior as a sustained campaign of harassment, describing it as "a deliberate campaign of terror by a mother who will abandon her own infant and children … and stop at nothing to pursue her vendetta." The language underscores the severity with which Bridges and his legal team view the alleged conduct.
The court documents also address concerns about parental alienation. Bridges alleges that Johnson has told their children they will never attend his NBA games "because his girlfriend will be there." He further claims she falsely tells the children that he is uninterested in seeing them, assertions he categorically denies.
Additional allegations in the filing include threats by Johnson to leak nude photographs of Bridges online, as well as what he describes as paranoid and obsessive behavior regarding his current relationship with Shara.
As of Thursday evening, Mychelle Johnson has not publicly responded to the restraining order or the allegations contained in Bridges' court filings. The temporary restraining order remains in effect pending further court proceedings, which will determine whether a permanent order should be issued.
The case adds another layer of complexity to Bridges' personal life as he continues his professional career with the Charlotte Hornets. The allegations, if proven, could have serious legal ramifications for Johnson, including potential criminal charges related to stalking, harassment, and child endangerment.
