Actress Meagan Good has opened up about a difficult decision she faced after marrying Jonathan Majors: rehoming her beloved cat due to conflicts with the couple's growing pack of dogs.

During an appearance on the "Picture This" podcast on Wednesday, April 8, Good, 44, was asked about something she thought she could not live without but ultimately discovered she could. Her candid response revealed the challenging choice she made for the sake of her marriage and household harmony.

"Uh, my cat, 'cause I had to get rid of my little cat. His name is Bam Bam," Good replied, explaining the circumstances that led to the decision.

The actress detailed how the situation unfolded when she and Majors combined their households. Majors brought two dogs into their shared home, and when the couple added a third canine companion, Bam Bam reached his breaking point. The cat began exhibiting stress-related behavioral problems that made the living arrangement untenable.

"The pups came with Jonathan. So, there was two pups. And then we got a third one. And by the third one, Bam Bam was real upset and Bam Bam started using the bathroom in the bed," Good explained, describing the cat's distress signals.

The decision was not made lightly. Good acknowledged her emotional attachment to Bam Bam and her initial reluctance to part with her feline companion. "So, at first I was like, I don't know. Well, I'm going to miss him and I really want him here and he's my own pup. He's my little kitty, you know, and he's like, you know, but then we had a puppy and the puppy pushed him off the edge," she continued.

When the interviewer asked whether she "chose the puppy over Bam Bam," Good's response was direct and revealing: "I chose the man."

Good and Majors, 36, have been together since 2023. The couple announced their engagement in November 2024 before tying the knot the following year. Their relationship has been characterized by mutual support and shared adventures, with Good describing their dynamic as reminiscent of "two little kids who can't believe we're allowed to do what we want to do."

In a June 2025 exclusive interview, Good shared her enthusiasm about married life and future plans. "I'm just really happy," she told the publication. "He's very silly. He always falls asleep in the middle of movies. I love doing adventures with him. If I'm like, 'Let's just go try this. Let's go do that.' He's like, 'All right, let's go.'"

The couple's household now includes four Belgian Malinois dogs, a breed known for high energy levels and protective instincts. Good acknowledged the challenges of managing such an active pack while also expressing her readiness to expand their family in other ways.

"I definitely am ready to have kids now," Good revealed in the same interview. "And then, my partner [is] someone I want to really do it with, and get excited about doing it with, and who is a phenomenal father already, but now we can do it together." Majors has a 13-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.

When discussing family planning, Good indicated she has a specific vision in mind. "Two would be good," she stated. "We got four dogs already. So, we got four Belgian Malinois, and they are the hyperest dogs of life, but the house is very safe."

Majors has been equally effusive about his marriage. During a television interview with Sherri Shepherd in March 2025, where he confirmed the couple had wed, the actor expressed profound happiness. "I said to Meagan yesterday, 'Today might be the happiest day of my life.' I love that woman so much," he said.

While the decision to rehome Bam Bam was undoubtedly difficult, Good's transparency about the choice reflects the complex compromises that often accompany blended households and new marriages. Her willingness to discuss the situation openly provides insight into the practical realities of merging lives, pets, and priorities when building a life together.
