DaBaby has officially resolved the legal dispute arising from his 2022 bowling alley altercation, bringing an end to a years-long lawsuit that captured public attention due to its connection to the rapper's tumultuous personal relationships.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, a notice of settlement was filed Thursday in the case involving DaBaby's confrontation with Brandon Curiel, who performs under the name Brandon Bill$. Curiel is the brother of DaBaby's former romantic partner, the singer DaniLeigh. The filing indicates the matter will be dismissed within 45 days, marking the conclusion of litigation that began after the February 2022 incident at Corbin Bowl in Los Angeles.

Curiel had filed suit against both DaBaby and the bowling alley venue, alleging he sustained injuries during the physical altercation. The case generated renewed attention in recent months when deposition testimony emerged revealing conflicting accounts of how the confrontation began.

In his deposition, Curiel claimed that DaBaby approached him before the physical altercation and stated, "I just want to slap you up a bit. I just want to slap you around a little bit," according to TMZ. Curiel further alleged that DaBaby threw the first punch during the encounter. Representatives for the rapper contested this characterization, maintaining that Curiel was the aggressor in the situation.

The confrontation did not occur in isolation. The animosity between DaBaby and Curiel predated the bowling alley incident, rooted in the rapper's contentious relationship with DaniLeigh. Curiel had publicly criticized DaBaby, and the two had exchanged hostile words well before their paths crossed at the Los Angeles venue that February evening.

The settlement represents a resolution to what had become a protracted legal battle, allowing both parties to move forward without the uncertainty of continued litigation. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed in the court filing.

With the notice of settlement now on record, the case joins the list of legal matters DaBaby has navigated throughout his career, which has been marked by both commercial success and recurring controversy. The dismissal, expected within the next month and a half, will formally close this chapter of the rapper's legal history.
