Todd Bridges, widely recognized for his role in the classic television series "Diff'rent Strokes," has filed for divorce from his wife Bettijo B. Hirschi in Arizona court, bringing an official end to their three-year marriage.

According to online court records, Bridges submitted the divorce filing on Tuesday in Arizona. The legal action follows the couple's separation, which occurred approximately three months prior to the filing.

Legal documents indicate that Bridges has characterized the marriage as "irretrievably broken." In a notable aspect of the proceedings, neither Bridges nor Hirschi is requesting spousal support from the other party.

The couple married in September 2022 during an intimate ceremony in Beverly Hills that hosted approximately seventy guests. The union did not produce any children during its duration.

Bridges and Hirschi's relationship began through a modern avenue: a dating application. The pair connected nine months before their wedding and moved quickly through their courtship, becoming engaged roughly six months after their initial meeting.

This marks the second divorce for Bridges, who was previously married to Dori Bridges. That marriage lasted fourteen years, from 1998 until 2012.

Bridges achieved fame as a child actor portraying Willis Jackson on "Diff'rent Strokes," which aired from 1978 to 1986. The sitcom became a cultural touchstone of American television and launched Bridges into the national spotlight at a young age.

The divorce proceedings are currently underway in Arizona courts. The amicable nature of the financial arrangements, with neither party seeking support, may expedite the dissolution process.
